Colin
joined AQA in 2020. Before joining AQA, he was Managing Director of Collins
Learning, where he launched Collins India. He also chaired the Education
Publishers Council from 2014 to 2018. Prior to this, he founded Learnthings Ltd
(the Guardian’s digital learning business) and was appointed Managing Director
of Guardian Professional in 2006. He has worked as a journalist for the Press
Association, The Times, and the Independent. He chaired Middlesex University
for eight years and is currently Chair of Staffordshire University. He is a
lifelong Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, a Fellow of the RSA, and
on the advisory board of poetry magazine, The Rialto. AQA is the largest
provider of academic qualifications taught in schools and colleges in England
and a partner in OxfordAQA with OUP, delivering qualifications internationally.
