Managing Director, Education, Cambridge University Press
Rod Smith is the Managing Director for Global Education at Cambridge University Press. In this role he works to help Cambridge engage with governments on education reforms and develop coherent approaches that generate sustainable improvements. Rod’s Education Reform team is currently delivering textbook and resource projects in countries such as Kazakhstan, UAE, Oman, the Maldives, Thailand and Vietnam. Before taking on this role, Rod worked in organisations including Pearson, Reed Elsevier, Oxford University Press and for the last three years he has led Cambridge University Press’ global education portfolio. Rod is also a Cambridge graduate, who worked in teaching before starting his career in Educational Publishing.
