Minister of Education, Nicaragua

Professor Miriam Soledad Ráudez Rodríguez was appointed to her position as the Minister of Education of the Republic of Nicaragua in 2011. Prior to being appointed to her ministerial responsibilities, Minister Ráudez was the Advisor on Education Affairs to the President of the Republic of Nicaragua, Commander Daniel Ortega Saavedra, between 2007 and 2010. Minister Ráudez has over four decades of expertise and experience in Education, Pedagogy and Public Policy Development. As an expert in Regional Development, Minister Ráudez was a consultant to various international organisations in Nicaragua. Previously, she was Regional Pedagogy Advisor at the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Nicaragua, following a distinguished career as a teacher of primary education. Minister Ráudez has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Master’s Degree in Education. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Science with an Specialization in Pedagogy.
