Dr Blaženka Divjak

Blaženka Divjak has been Minister of Science and Education for the Republic of Croatia since 2017. Before taking up this position she was a Professor of mathematics and a scientific advisor in information sciences at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics. She was also vice-rector for students, study programs and was responsible for quality assurance system at the University of Zagreb from 2010 to 2014. Besides research in mathematics she also studies higher education governance, e-learning, decision making and learning analytics. Blaženka Divjak has also coordinated 12 international projects related to curriculum development, decision making and quality assurance in higher education, as well as a research project focused on strategic decision making in higher education. She has participated as an expert in external quality assurance evaluations of European universities and agencies, and she is a member of the National Council for Human Potential Development in Croatia. Blaženka has a Master’s degree in natural sciences, field mathematics and a PhD in mathematics.
