Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Armenia
Arevik Anapiosyan is Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, with responsibility for international cooperation, development projects, budget and strategic planning. Prior to joining the Government, she was the Executive Director and a co-founder of the Institute of Public Policy think tank, which has been the first education profiled institution to study the challenges and provide policy recommendations in the field of education. Arevik is the chairwoman of the ENIC-NARIC board in Armenia, Council of Europe CDPPE bureau member, Board member of the State Pedagogical University, as well as a number of research organisations. For the past 11 years Arevik has been actively involved in policy research and advocacy, and in addition to that she has developed a teaching career at the Yerevan State University and American University of Armenia. She has been a visiting fellow and completed fellowships at the University of Essex, University of Massachusetts (Amherst), University of Tartu, and Graz University. She has MA degrees in Political science and in International affairs, and she did her studies towards PhD in international law and conflict resolution at Yerevan State University, Armenia, and University of Tartu, Estonia.
